Mojito Tapas Restaurant

Rarely would I say that a restaurant has a truly executed a dish well, but I must say the short ribs are done quite well. Literally pulls apart with just a fork and very nice, yet subtle flavors. The red wine reduction really adds to the flavor of the whole dish. If I had any complaints it would be that it is ever so slightly too dry for my particular taste, but overall very well done. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

We ate here for lunch. We got here about 11:15 thinking it opened at 11:00 but it didn't open until 11:30. It was worth the wait. As a matter of fact, they had a whole crowd of people waiting for them to open. Our waiter was very good and very friendly. We ordered a few tapas for lunch. One day we will come back to try the paella. Our waiter said we could call a head to let them know as it takes about an hour. It just didn't work for us the weekend but we are looking forward to coming back.

A small group of us had a delicious lunch. The guacamole was fresh and delightful! We all tried different dishes- chicken skewers, pulled pork, veggie skewers, black beans, hummus and loved out all! The iced tea was freshly made. We will definitely return. Wish I wasn't working, so we could have tried the mojito. Another table had those.

Very good seafood!! I tried several dishes in one setting. The mojito was just perfect, little minty as supposed to be (missed the water). Staff was professional and friendly. Definitely recommend and will be back.

I was expecting typical Mexican food but got something very different and yet still wonderful. To start out we got the guacamole dip. It is served with thin crunchy strips of fried plantains! I'm telling you it was wonderful!! Then we ordered the steak tacos. They are served on corn tortillas with 2 different sauces you can add. The steak is tender and flavorful without being over spicy. This place is just great. No regrets here!

Was so excited about trying this place for the first time tonight. Arrived at 6:25 and was told the wait would be about 30-35 minutes. An hour and 45 minutes later, we were still waiting on a table. When I asked why the wait was taking so long, the hostess explained that there were people who were finished eating and paid up but still occupying the tables. We were told that they would not ask those customers, who already finished eating, to leave. “That that would be rude.” Meanwhile, my family of five is made to wait close to 2 hrs, were never given a table, and offered no other option but to leave and go somewhere else. I would’ve loved to try this place but no food is worth that wait. I guess it’s ice cream and waffles tonight.

Consistently very good (or better) and worth every penny! I'd rather go there 3 +/- times per week than to waste a trip to another venue, only to be disappointed because it will, very likely, not be as good; Mojito has such a varied menu (all tasty and well-prepared) that it should never get boring to you. Mediocre service. Not attentive to our table of 10. Had to ask over and over for our needs. Food was not that good. It was freezing in there. Asked to please turn cold air down if not off. Food was cold! Remained cold for most of our meal. Not very happy here. So so for the price.

Best tapas place I have visited in Louisville. My caipirihna didn't taste much like the caipirihna I know but I still enjoyed. We had food, cocktail and wine for less than 50$!

Mojitos is a small tapas restaurant with some interesting items on the menu. The food was very good, but in our case several mistakes were made and one of our children had to wait a very long time to get her food after everyone else had been served. I'm sure most of the staff does a fine job, but our server was was not at all friendly. I would like to give a more positive review, but based on the lack of hospitality, I just don't feel like I can this time. To leave on a positive note I will say that the calamari was some of the most delicious and tender that I have had in Louisville.

My friends and I LOVE Mojito Tapas...the food, service and aesthetics are a perfect combo...

The start to the night not so great. Yelp says they take reservations...but they DO NOT! They have call ahead seating and the lady on the phone never wrote down our last name...we expected it because the lady sounded like a total dud. Not enough seating or room to accommodate the crowd. Even though the food is decent...it's not enough to change my rating. It's expensive to eat out, so I expect to have a great total experience.

Loved everything we ordered. Really like that they take ordinary dishes and put a twist on it to make it special/unique. Fun atmosphere and great staff.

This place is one of my favorite places in town. If you go the mushrooms au gratin are a must as well as the goat cheese flan. I've as of yet been disappointed by anything I've tried.

Great experience at this almost-hidden gem. Food was delicious and showed good attention to detail with lots of nice touches. Broad menu of Spanish and Latin dishes plus delicious mojitos. Service was friendly and attentive. Nice casual vibe and seems to stay busy through the day. I'm definitely planning to return again to explore the menu further.

One of my favorite places in Louisville. My partner and I frequent Mojito and have never been disappointed. I take all my out of town friends and family here and it’s the only place they want to go when they visit now. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the seafood stew (can’t remember the Spanish name) will always be my favorite. Just went earlier this week and had amazing service, food, and atmosphere as always!

I went to Mojitos Tappas with my coworkers. Everything was delicious. I highly reccomend the Piquillo Peppers and the Cuban Punch. It was my first time going and I'll be back.

I was craving a mojito.Wow,was it's the best ever.Love the attractive curved glasses.Ordered guacamole ,It was awesome.The tapas menu is a just right portion.My date ordered fish tacos.Extremely colorful,flavorful dish.I had a salad with chicken on the side.Delightful experience.

Delicious place for Spanish and Latin American food! Personally, I tried the Cuban burger and it was wonderful! They also make exceptional sweet potato fries and I would highly recommend them. The queso is very tasty and while you are there you obviously should try one of the very well-made mojitos. The night I went there was not too much noise, so it was a perfect environment for conversation. The staff were incredibly helpful and our server and particular was engaging and very polite.Overall this was a tasty place for a night out and I would highly recommend it.

Amazing service and great food. Mojito's has something for everyone. Even picky eaters like myself. We ordered the empanadas and 2 chicken and one steak taco. They were all amazing!

This place is out-of-this-world delicious! Anytime I go to Louisville I have to eat here! The photos say it all.

I absolutely love this place. The food is always amazing, the atmosphere is nice, the mojitos and margaritas taste phenomenal..:and the service is always on point. The restaurant is crowded but it’s meant to be an intimate social experience. Went last night to celebrate my birthday and the server just went above and beyond. Our glasses were always full, the food was on time, and she did what she could to make my night perfect- Thanks Luna for an amazing night and fulfilling our needs.

The food is beyond amazing! I have yet to find an item on the menu that is not bursting with delicious flavor. Margaritas and of course mojitos are delicious. Little pricey but when you order a couple tapas to share with the table is well worth it! Highly recommend!

Excellent place! Love the food and the people, this place caters to my Cuban heritage! Their Cubano sandwich and this soup that has rice & shrimp is amazing, get over there because they can fill to capacity really fast, the food is just that good!

We were a cosmopolitan group of 4 with people from four different continents, culinary background and gastronomic preferences. And yet, we were unanimous in our effusiveness. The food was amazing, especially the meatballs and paella. The service was wonderful. Everything we ordered was extremely tasty. Was absolutely worth the few minutes wait. Definitely worth going back.

The staff he is great - they're always friendly and attentive. The food is also very good. I give three stars because as good as everything is the kitchen is slow to get food out. When you have an hour or less for lunch Mojitos is not an option.

Meh. Food was just “meh”. I heard cocktails are amazing but I didn’t get to try. Service wasn’t great but not the worst either.

Mojitos is one of those places where I always have a good experience dining. They have a great menu, with both small plates and full entrees that always satisfies whether there for lunch or dinner.

Prompt & friendly staff. Incredibly flavorful vegetable sandwich & crispy sweet potatoes fries for less than $10 + tip.
